Entry Level Office Engineer

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate, review and assess contract submittals.
  • Track and monitor project progress; create reports and present findings to managers.
  • Analyze data from the projects and be able to provide insight and guidance when needed.
  • Ensure bid packets contain relevant engineering drawings, designs and specifications for bid document.
  • Maintain construction files and logs and review daily inspection reports.
  • Assist Project Manager(s) with submittal and change order review and tracking.
  • Ability to review proposals and compare with estimates for change orders.
  • Initiate, prepare, review, track and distribute RFI’s, field memos, field orders/directives, and field change directives.
  • Review and process forms for submittals and ensure forms comply with existing standards.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Extremely organized and detail oriented, with the ability to maintain accuracy while handling multiple requests at once.
  • Must have good people skills and be able to communicate effectively and work well with others.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel.
  • Experience working with Kahua or another Project Management program is beneficial.
  • Ability to become thoroughly familiar with contract requirements, site conditions, and special provisions including all relevant standards, requirements and stipulations.
  • Pursuing a degree in Engineering or Construction Management, or equivalent experience.
